The "Badewäldchen" is situated on the right hand between Bad Langensalza and Merxleben. Because of „flow regulation works“ at the Unstrut the sulphur springs were discovered in 1811. In 1812 began the cure-practiced, that was moved to the city in 1928. On the way to the springs are on the right site of the bathing-way two obelisks which remind of the battle at Langensalza between the Hanoverians and the Prussians in 1866. The "Badewäldchen" reflects the uniqueness and beauty of nature in detail. In the shadow of the trees more paths winded with ivy lead through the fabulous small forrest to many more hidden memorials. Today the "Badewäldchen" is a bird protection field, as well as a popular place of excursions for many bike and hiking fans.
