Bad Langensalza celebrates the fountain festival every year since 1812 in honor of the discovered remedial sulphur springs four weeks after Pentecost . The historical celebration procession through the city is the climax of this celebration. Children and pupils wear colorful crowns, sticks and archcrowns made of flowers which are put aside the fountain for the homage of the sulphur water. Music and fun, fun fair and entertainment for the whole family are offered on the celebration place.
