Japanese Garden

With a face of 7000 square meters the garden corresponds to a Japanese park. Highlights are set by the different garden topics the whole year through.

In total the area is subdivided in gardens of the awakening and the gardens of the reason. The gardens of the awakening consist of different themes. The awakening of the spring is also celebrated in Bad Langensalza like in Japan with hanami, the cherry flower feast in the cherry garden.

To the cherry garden a pond landscape with an iris garden is connected which is attainable over a traditional bridge. An azalea landscape rounds off the picture in the early summer and the fall landscape with the Japanese maple trees gives a Japanese charm to the park in October. The gardens of the reason, a tea garden and a Kare-san-sui dry landscape underline the ruminant character of this garden landscape.

The buildings of the Japanese garden are open the whole year long. They are flexibly usable and offer for example a room for the Japanese tea ceremony, exhibitions, lectures, concerts and relaxingmethods from the Asian continent. They also offer a seat possibility to the garden visitor in every season to relax and enjoy the Japanese atmosphere and culture in the garden of the bliss.
