Changing-point „Bus-Railroad-Rail“

On 03.09.2003 the new changing-point „Bus-Railroad-Rail“ was opened. Situated directly at the railway station it does not only offer the possibility to achieve different neighboring municipalities via bus, but also to change directly between rail, bus lines and town-buses. Thus the bus-railroad-rail changing-point represents the center of public transport in Bad Langensalza.

Bus service

With the company Salza Tours the idea arose to offer an intra-urban regular transport service. On 18.10.1993 the one year pilot project "City-Bus" began with 2 lines. Today there exist 3 lines with 22 stops on weekdays in 30 a minute cycle and Sundays in 60 minute cycle. The current routing guarantees an about 200 meter footpath from the respective stop to every point of the city center. The city-buses drive exclusively with biodiesel that is extracted from rape seed to protect the environment.
