The factory owner Rudolph Weiss ordered the construction of a hospital in 1881 and 1882 onto his own expense and donated it to his hometown. Today only the exterior facade of the former Stifterbaus and a bust of the donor remind of the former time. The house got its name from the famous doctor Christoph Wilhelm Hufeland who was born in Bad Langensalza.

Our hospital in the cure city which is led in the private legal form since 1993 as one of the first houses of the Federal Republic of Germany lies in an idyllic small park and was completely renovated for more than 100 million DM, expanded and endowed with the latest technique.

We truly act according to the realisations of Christoph Hufeland, "....the practical diagnostic needs the discovery of the sick person as a physic and social individual".

The ward for internal medicine department of the hospital Hufeland Bad Langensalza dispose of more than 97 beds. For the guarantee of a professionally optimal processing occurs the segmentation into a general inner department with gastroenterology, hematology, onkology as well as a cardiology-pulmonology department.
