Waldstedt
The district Waldstedt is a small, a little off-sited „Angerdorf“ (meadow-village)-community between Zimmern and Alterstedt and is with its about 110 inhabitants the smallest municipality in the national park area.

Already in the 9th century Waldstedt is mentioned. A tradition says that a chapel was constructed here by a rich virgin, the Domina of the cloister Homburg. The church of the village is inaugurated to the holy Juliana. It received a tower no sooner than in the year 1879. Friedrich Kesselring, a citizen of Waldstedt gave the instruction to built it.
