Naegelstedt
The district counts 751 inhabitants and is 6,5 km far away from Bad Langensalza. Nägelstedt was incorporated on 01.07.1993. In 977 the place was mentioned for the first time as "Negelstete". Nägelstedt is located at the gate to the „Unstruttal“.

The village has two churches. In its middle stands the „Schieferhof“ (slate court). It has a semicircular „Borhof“ which was used for defense purposes. Formerly the „Schieferhof“ was a „Edelsitz“ (noble´s place).
At the end of the village in eastern direction is the Stiftgut. In former times it was a possession of the German Knight-Order. In the Peasant War this manor was plundered on 29th April 1525 by citizens of Langensalza.
